‘Nerve’ is a science fiction thriller directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman starring Emma Roberts, Dave Franco and Juliette Lewis.
The film is an online ‘truth or dare’ game that gains in intensity as actor Dave Franco explains:”‘Nerve’ is an online game where you get paid to be a player or a watcher and if you are a player the game essentially uses your information that’s online and they use that information against you, whether it be, you know stuff that you put on your Facebook profile or Instagram or wherever. So they dare you to do things based on that info and it’s gonna probably be things that you don’t want to do.”
We never said this game was safe.😁

The film is a critique of life on the web:
“ I thought it was really interesting because it kind of reminds me of the internet culture right now of, you know, people kind of putting their whole live on YouTube or exposing things on Twitter. Everyone’s just very private in public now and I think this movie really captures that and I think that’s what makes it really relevant,” adds actor Emma Roberts.
‘Nerve’ opens in Europe in August.
