Over one-hundred people participated in the annual Ernest “Papa” Hemingway Look-Alike Contest in Key West, Florida on Saturday (July 23). The event is one of the highlights during the Hemingway Days celebration as look-alikes paraded through Key West’s historic downtown dragging replicas of bulls on wheels through the streets.

The contest ends at the historic restaurant, Sloppy Joe’s Bar, a place Hemingway used to frequent during the 1930s. Silver-bearded Dave Hemingway – no relation to the legendary author – from North Carolina won this year’s contest after his 7th attempt.
