One of Trump’s five children, Ivanka was chosen to introduce her father.
He then officially accepted the Republican Party presidential nomination.
In the wake of the speech, search engine Google reported more inquiries about the 34-year-old businesswoman than for her father.
Her star-turn in Cleveland was also one of the top trending topics on Twitter late on Thursday. 121 tweets mentioning Ivanka’s name were posted every minute.
Analytics showed the overall sentiment was positive by a ratio of three-to-one over negative, according to monitoring company Zoomph.
She talked about:
- her father’s yearning to improve America
- equal pay for women
However, Ivanka missed her only chance to date to vote for her father.
The mother-of-three had not changed her party registration from Democrat to Republican in time to cast a vote in the April 19 New York primary.
What Ivanka said
“Judge his values by those he has instilled in his children. Judge his competency by the towers he has built, the companies he has founded and the tens of thousands of jobs he has created,” – Ivanka said, describing her father’s suitability for the role of president.
“Women are paid equally for the work that we do, and when a woman becomes a mother, she is supported, not shut out,” – Ivanka told crowd, saying her father employed more female executives at his company than male.
