After weeks of speculation, Giampiero Ventura has been officially presented as the new coach of the Italian National team.

The 68-year-old signed a two-year-deal and will replace new Chelsea Boss Antonio Conte, who led Squadra Azzurra to the quarter-finals of the European Championship in France.

Ventura, who pledged to continue the good work of his predecessor, left Torino at the end of last season after a five-year spell in charge.

His first game in his new post will be a friendly against Euro 2016 finalists France in Bari on 1 September.
