Donald Trump has named Mike Pence as his running mate in the US presidential elections in November.

The choice of Indiana Governor is seen as a safe one which would unite Republican skeptics to Trump’s side.

The media mogul turned presidential pretender is hoping a low-key vice-presidential candidate carrying some political clout, and a Washington outsider will be a winning formula.

With the Trump-Pence ticket confirmed, the pair must smooth over rather large differences. Pence doesn’t support trade protectionism or a temporary ban on Muslims entering the country, but Trump shot back that ‘there’s nobody that agrees with me fully on everything’.

The choice of logo has already got the Twitterati up in arms.
