Millions of Britons have signed a petition calling for a re-run of the European Union referendum.

The petition, posted before the referendum, demanded another ballot if the votes of ‘Vote Leave’ or ‘Remain’ fell below 60 percent with a 75 percent turnout.
The Brexit turnout hit 72 percent with 52 percent backing Brexit.
Parliament must consider a debate on any petition posted that contains 100,000 signatures.

said she is to invite all EU diplomats based in Scotland to a summit in Edinburgh within 14 days to discuss ways of remaining in the EU.

Scotland voted overwhelmingly to stay in the EU.
A second referendum on Scottish independence is now likely.
