In basketball, history has been made after the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors 93 to 89 in Sunday’s NBA finals.

In a remarkable performance,
Cleveland’s Lebron James almost single-handedly helped the Cav’s win their first NBA title following an improbable comeback from 3-1 down in the 7 match series.

No team has ever turned over such a deficit.

The result was a huge disappointment for the Warriors, which had gone into the game looking for their second successive championship.

James finished with stunning 27 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds, delivering on his promise two years ago to bring the championship back to his native Ohio.

The victory ends decades of heartbreak for the city of Cleveland, which had not won a major trophy for 52-years.
