Real Madrid have suffered a scare ahead of their Champions League final against city rivals Atletico de Madrid after star scorer Cristiano Ronaldo limped out of training on Tuesday with a thigh problem.

The Portuguese sustained the knock during a 10-a-side training match.

He hobbled off the pitch following a clash with goalkeeper Kiko Casilla.

The highly decorated 31-year-old has already suffered a thigh injury this campaign that ruled him out of several key games towards the end of the season.

After the latest scare Ronaldo told reporters it was only a knock and he will be fit to play against Atletico when the two teams meet in Milan for a repeat of the 2014 Champions League final which Real won for their 10th title in the competition.
