Samsung and Alibaba's financial arm have done a deal for smartphone purchase payments with Alipay.
Samsung and Alibaba’s financial arm have announced a collaboration on mobile payments.
Under the deal people with Samsung smartphones wil be able to more easily make payments with Alibaba affiliate Ant Financial Services’ Alipay which has 450 million active registered users.
The number one handset maker hopes this will boost sales in China, the world’s biggest smartphone market, where it has been losing out to local manufacturers like Huawei and Xiaomi and no longer ranks among the top five smartphone brands.
