Incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been cleared by an Italian court of any wrongdoing in a match fixing scandal dating back to 2011.

The 46-year old was accused of failing to report a fixed second division game when he was manager of Siena.

In 2012 the Italian FA handed Conte a 10-month ban – later reduced to four – in connection with the case whilst he was boss of Juventus – but this latest ruling means he will now arrive at Stamford bridge with a clean reputation.

Conte will take charge of English Premier League side Chelsea after he leads Italy at the European Championships in France this summer.
