It is going down to the wire in the Dutch top flight with wins for the two contenders for the title this weekend, leaders Ajax making an emphatic statement with a four-nil drubbing of Twente.

PSV also won, putting six past the bottom club, but Ajax have the better goal difference by six, and with one game to go all they need to do is win.

Cerny got them on their way in the 32nd minute, then there was agony until Van Der Hoorn’s 79th minute header.

Two more came in the last 10 minutes, from Fischer, and then after playing provider for his teammates much of the afternoon in an excellent performance, Younes added his name to the scoresheet.

Feyenoord’s weekend win assures them of third; AZ Alkmaar can no longer catch them.
