There is no doubt it’s a room with a view – but how would you like to be surrounded by sharks as you sleep?

A special underwater bedroom, sitting in three million litres of water, has been created at the Paris Aquarium.

A few lucky contest winners will get the chance to stay in April before it becomes a research facility.

The room with a difference is submerged in a 10-metre-deep aquarium
with just a see-through wall separating guests from 35 sharks. Two people can stay, with a round-shaped bed occupying most of the space.

The underwater sleepover will also aim to teach the three winners and their guests about sharks with host, freediver Fred Buyle.

“Sharks are really, really misunderstood… People need to understand that sharks are not dangerous, there are only dangerous behaviours with sharks,” he said.
