New Zealand have booked their place in the World Twenty20 semi-finals with a stunning 75-run win over Bangladesh at Eden Gardens in Kolkata Saturday.

Skipper Kane Williamson, who won the toss and opted to bat on a very dry pitch, struck five fours and a six in his 42 off 32 deliveries as he led the Black Caps to 145 for 8.

Bangladesh paceman Mustafizur Rahman made life a bit difficult, taking five wickets for 22 runs but ultimately Bangladesh had no answer and go out of the tournament without a win in the Super 10 stage.

A humiliating exit for the runners’ up of the last edition who made their lowest T20 total of 70 and the lowest of the tournament.
