Set in ‘Zootopia’, a city peopled by anthropomorphic animals, Disney’s latest offering tells the story of Judy Hopps, a newly appointed bunny cop, who joins forces with a con artist fox to solve a missing animal case.
US actress Ginnifer Goodwin voices Rabbit Hopps.
“I think the thing of which I am most proud, and I didn’t realise this until I saw the film in completion, is that we have a leading lady action hero who is sweet and good and kind and pure and doesn’t have to have masculine qualities to be an ass kicker,” said Goodwin at the film’s premiere.
Colombian singer Shakira voices Gazelle, a pop star based on herself. ‘Zootopia’ is Shakira’s first foray into animation.
“I fell in love with the project. I fell in love with the characters. They are very well thought out. The script is so clever. The plot is so original and every detail in the movie just simply captivated me and also I felt from the beginning an instant chemistry with the team,” she enthused.
