Brazilian midfielder Ramires lined up shoulder to shoulder with his new teammates this week as China’s new look Jiangsu Suning team was presented to the media.
Jiangsu is one of many clubs from the wealthy Chinese Super League to embark on an expensive world wide shopping spree for talent.
Ramires joined the side from Chelsea for a reported 32 million euros. At the club he will play with fellow new recruit Alex Teixeira, who has joined from Shakhtar Donetsk for 50 million euros.
Former Manchester City striker Jo and Australian defender Trent Sainsbury have also signed on with the club that is coached by former Chelsea defender Dan Petrescu.
This sudden splurge on foreign stars in China has also seen Jackson Martinez move from Atletico Madrid to Guangzho Evergrande for €42 million.
