Former Chelsea and Barcelona star Eidur Gudjohnson has joined Norwegian side Molde in a bid to challenge for a spot in Iceland’s squad for this summer’s European championships in France.
The 37-year old – who last played in China for Shijiazhuang Ever Bright – has signed a two-year contract with three time Norwegian champions – a team coached by former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Gudjohnson will join up with his new teammates in the coming days and could even feature for the side in their Europa League Round of 32 fixture against Sevilla later this month.
