Former European champions Porto have named Jose Peseiro as their new coach.
The 55-year-old has signed an 18 month contract and replaces Julen Lopetegui who was sacked 10 days ago following a string of poor results and mounting pressure from the club’s fans.
Porto are currently sitting third in the Portuguese league, behind old rivals Sporting and Benfica and were knocked out of this season’s Champions League in the group stage.
