Former FIFA vice president Hawit agrees to extradition

Former FIFA vice-president Alfredo Hawit has agreed to be extradited to the United States to face criminal charges.

Hawit, from Honduras, was acting president of the governing body for football in North and Central America and the Caribbean when he was arrested at a luxury hotel in Zurich in early December.

He is charged with bribery schemes for marketing and broadcast rights for football tournaments in Latin America.
