One ‘Heck’ of a giant squid has been spotted swimming in a Japanese marina at depths of around 2.5-3 metres.
Nicknamed ‘Heck,’ the Architeuthis dux squid is estimated to be around 3.7 metres long. The species would not usually be found in waters so shallow as it normally prefers depths of 650 – 900 metres.
