The authorities in Tunisia say they have foiled a major assault planned on hotels and the security forces in the resort of Sousse, the site of an attack earlier this year that killed 38 foreign holidaymakers. 17 Islamic militants have reportedly been arrested. Kalashnikov rifles, explosives and a bomb belt were also seized.
