Wednesday night sees the completion of the second round of Champion’s League group matches and Manchester City will be desperate to recover form after a series of poor performances and dropped points in nearly every competition they’re in, let alone Europe’s top table.
They have to take the road to Germany to face a Borussia Munchengladbach on the ropes in the Bundesliga, fifteen points off the lead in 14th place.

In Group D’s other match Juventus, also a bit poorly after losing key veterans between seasons, take on Seville.

In Group C the joint group leaders play, Athletico Madrid with home advantage against Benfica. Astana have a relatively short journey to play Galatasaray.

Group A sees Shaktar, who shipped four against Real Madrid in their first match, entertain PSG, while group leaders Real take on Malmö.

Finally Group B sees new English league leaders Manchester United looking for their first points against what will be a tough visit from fourth-placed Wolfsburg, and CSKA Moscow playing group leaders PSV.
