Manchester United have made it through to the group stages of the Champions League after beating Club Brugge 4-0 away from home with a goal from Ander Herrera and a hat-trick from Wayne Rooney.

The Belgians faced an uphill battle after losing 3-1 at Old Trafford last week.

In the other games, Bayer Leverkusen beat Lazio 3-0 and go through on an aggregate score of 3-1.

Kazakhstani side Astana made it through to the group stages for the first time in the club’s history. A draw was enough against Cypriot side APOEL to give them an aggregate score of 2-1.

Despite losing away to Partisan, Belarussian outfit Bate Borosov go through on away goals.

And finally a 3-1 win at home for CSKA Moscow against Portuguese side Sporting secured their spot in the group stages.
