Online crowdfunding efforts to save the first man on the moon’s spacesuit have
been out of this world!

The US National Air and Space Museum asked for cash to conserve Neil Armstrong’s Apollo 11 suit from the 1969 mission.

“An astronomical sum of 719,779 dollars was raised with 9,477 people contributing to the month-long Kickstarter ‘Reboot the Suit’ campaign.

The museum now plans to display the suit to the public in 2019 to mark the 50th anniversary of the first lunar landing.
