State prosecutors raided the headquarters of the Bolivian Football Federation in Cochabamba after it failed to cooperate fully with an investigation into corruption.

Police arrested the head of the FBF, Carlos Chavez, on July 17 on suspicion of a scam in the case of a fund set up for the family of a fan who died at an international match in the central Bolivian city of Oruro in 2013.

Chavez, who is also the treasurer of the South American Football Confederation, is one of five senior officials from the Bolivian soccer federation under investigation for corruption.
