The final performances at Hungary’s Sziget festival will take place on Sunday night (August 16).
Over the last seven days the international music festival in Budapest has featured artists such as The Script, Kasabien and Robbie Williams,
This year’s event was the warmest in its twenty-two year history.
“Our festival has visitors from 95 countries,” Sziget festival organiser told euronews. “Ninety percent of those with a ticket for the entire week are from abroad.”
“Oh, it’s amazing!,” mused a dutch girl. “Next year again,” said another. “It’s really nice. It’s so cool!”
“There are so many different bands with different styles, it mixes everything up, it’s cultural, it let us explore Budapest, it’s amazing, I love it,” said a guy from Australia.
Euronews correspondent Andrea Hajagos, who has been at the festival, reported: “Every year you can hear more and more languages if you walk along the Sziget festival. And it shows how this event became really international.”
