New Zealand retained the Bledisloe Cup on Saturday after thumping Australia to tie this year’s series at one win apiece.

Flanker Richie McCaw led the side out at Eden Park as he overtook Ireland centre Brian O’Driscoll’s record of 141 caps.

Heavily criticised after suffering defeat in the Rugby Championship decider last week, the hosts bounced back with a solid display as Dane Coles, Conrad Smith and Ma’a Nonu crossed over to hand their side an emphatic 41-13 triumph.
