Former Brazil international and two time player of the year Ronaldinho was unveiled by his new club Fluminense.

The former Barcelona ace signed with the Brazilian club last weekend after being released by Mexican side Queretaro, where he’d been since September 2014.

Ronaldinho has signed a 17-month contract and will be hoping to win Brazil’s topflight title for a first time.

At his unveiling the 35-year-old who previously played in Brazil for Gremio, Flamengo and Atletico Mineiro said: “I am very motivated, very happy to have the opportunity to make history as part of this great club. That’s my objective, my project, so now I just have to work hard to make history at this club.”

Later in the day the former world cup winner, who also turned out for AC Milan in a globe-trotting career, was presented to the fans at the iconic Maracana Stadium.

The presentation to the club’s faithful came just before the side’s Rio derby against arch-rivals Vasco da Gama, which Fluminense lost.
