‘Crimson Peak’ is set in Cumbria, in a decaying stately home in rural northern England in the 19th century.
The film sees a young writer, Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska) fall in love with Sir Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston) she then discovers her charming new husband is not who he appears to be.
Guillermo del Toro said it was time he made an adult movie: “I had made the decision after ‘Mimic’ to reserve my more adolescent sort of stories for Hollywood and the more adult themes for Europe or Mexico or Spain. And this is the first time that I’m trying an R-rated, adult, lavish, gorgeous movie on this scale. So it was something that I wanted to deliver.”
Fans got a sneak preview of ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ directed by Zack Snyder due for release next year.
The film pits the two heroes against one another until a more sinister threat to the world materialises.
Likewise ‘Suicide Squad’ based on the DC Comics series about a team of imprisoned supervillains recruited by the US Government to carry out covert operations in return for clemency.
‘Suicide Squad’ is due out in August 2016.
