Beachgoers at a Massachusetts beach got a rare sight when a great white shark washed up on to the shore, getting stuck in the sand. Witnesses told local media it happened as the two meter-long juvenile male tried to catch seagulls off the Chatham coast. A harbormaster and another man splashed water on the shark and then tied rope around the animal’s rear fin before towing it out to sea.
