Real Madrid have announced that the team’s goalkeeper and captain Iker Casillas is leaving the club for Portuguese side Porto.

Casillas made his debut in Real Madrid’s first team in 1999 and since then has won three European crowns, five La Liga titles, two King’s Cups and one Club World Cup.

It’s reported that Manchester United’s David De Gea will be his replacement.

Regular playing time for Porto, coached by Spaniard Julen Lopetegui, should allow Casillas to further extend his international career.
