Paolo Guerrero was presented by his new club, Flamengo, in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday.
The Peruvian striker recently helped his nation to a third-place finish at the Copa America where he ended the campaign joint top scorer with Chile’s Eduardo Vargas.
At Flemengo Guerrero has signed a three-year deal after having seen out his contract with Brazilian giants Corinthians.
At his presentation Guerrero followed the usual script for new signings saying: “I’m happy to join such an important and promising club. I am very proud to be representing Flamengo. And I’m going to give it my all so we can improve on the things we need to improve and accomplish something important this year.’‘
On the same day as being presented Guerrero joined up with his team-mates for his first training session.
The former Bayern Munich striker will travel with the team to Porto Alegre where he will make his club debut against Internacional in the league on Wednesday.
