French court backs Le Pen over National Front membership

A French court has lifted Jean-Marie Le Pen suspension from the far-right National Front party he founded.

His daughter and now party leader, Marine, kicked him out in April after the 86-year-old reiterated previous controversial comments describing Nazi gas chambers as a “mere detail of history.”
