On day nine of the Baku European games.

In men’s cycling Luis Leon Sanchez of Spain won road race gold.

The 31-year-old Astana rider won a sprint battle against fellow Astana rider Andriy Grivko of Ukraine who took silver, while Czech rider Petr Vakoc claimed bronze.

In Acrobatic Gymnastics Belgium won gold in the Women’s balance.

With this they earned a clean sweep after also claiming gold in the all-round final and the Dynamic finals.

And in the men’s water polo Serbia beat Spain 8-7 to win the gold medal in the final.

Spain led 6-5 midway through the third period but their opponents limited them to only one goal for the remainder of the match to take the gold.

Greece won the bronze medal with an 11-10 victory over Croatia.
