T-Mobile US is reportedly in merger talks with satellite TV operator Dish.
According to an article in the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), the two sides have agreed to join forces – although the purchase price and deal structure remain undecided.
Dish and T-Mobile have not commented on the report – although the two companies have previously publicly floated the possibility of a deal
The deal that would combine the second-largest satellite TV operator in the United States with the fourth-largest wireless carrier.
The WSJ reported that T-Mobile Chief Executive John Legere is set to serve as CEO and Dish CEO Charlie Ergen would become the combined company’s chairman.
