Strong Swiss franc hurts exports


The Swiss economy has contracted in the first quarter according to the latest figures.

Exports have been hit hard by the super strong Swiss franc, which rocketed after the central bank removed the currency cap against the euro in January.

Overall its is forecast that the Swiss economy will recover by the end of the year.

The figures look set to end speculation that the Swiss economy is heading into recession.
