Ryanair says lower fares and a charm offensive to improve the airlines’ image are responsible for a 66% jump in profits.
The share price took off, gaining over 5% in morning trading , and the Irish airline which has become Europe’s number one also reported soaring passenger numbers, three times the forecast increase.
Ryanair has also benefited from switching to primary airports on some routes but it says the main factor was the success of the company’s Always Getting Better programme, which focused on providing a better service to passengers.
