Juventus stunned Champions League holders Real Madrid 2-1 in a pulsating semi-final first leg on Tuesday night.

The home side started very brightly with Alvaro Morata opening the scoring against his old club in the ninth minute.

But Real silenced the crowd 20 minutes later when Cristano Ronaldo headed the equaliser with Juve at six and sevens at the back.

His goal gave him the advantage over Lionel Messi in the competition’s all-time leading scorer with 76 goals.

But it was another goal from an Argentine which stole the show. The irrepressible Carlos Tevez hit a second-half penalty after being bundled over.
