Lufthansa shareholders have met for their annual meeting in Hamburg just over a month after 150 passenger and crew died in the Germanwings crash.
A minute’s silence was held at the start to honour the victims. In the wake of the tragedy Lufthansa cancelled its 60th anniversary celebrations.
Addressing shareholders Chief Executive Carsten Spohr said, “the tragedy has changed us and the scars that it has left on our company will remain forever.”
Despite the shadow cast at the meeting by the crash shareholders were facing problems within the airline including its poor financial performance and industrial action by its pilots.
