Cyprus "ready for talks"

The UN envoy for Cyprus says the time is right to resume negotiations on the ethnically divided island. Turkish Cypriots are hoping the winner of Sunday’s leadership election will make that happen, says researcher Meltem Samani, co-chair of the Turkish-Greek Historical Dialogue and Research Association.
