The first leg of Real Madrid’s Champions League semi-final clash with city rivals Atletico set up an intriguing decider after a tense 0-0 draw at the Vicente Calderon.

The defending champions controlled the first half but Diego Simeone’s men had more chances after the restart with neither side able to find the back of the net.

Elsewhere, Juventus will take a narrow advantage into the second leg following a 1-0 win over Monaco on home soil.

Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal scored from the penalty spot to secure the win after Ricardo Carvalho fouled Alvaro Morata in the 57th minute.
