The retrial began in Egypt on Saturday of ousted leader Hosni Mubarak and his two sons for allegedly diverting public funds earmarked for the renovation of
presidential palaces to upgrade family properties.

The trio were originally given jail sentences but 86-year-old Mubarak’s conviction was overturned in January and his two sons were also freed pending this new hearing.

The case has been adjourned to April 29.
