Earth hour is sweeping the world. At 8.30pm local time on March 28, 2015, countries in 24 time zones across six continents switch off their lights for an hour to raise awareness of climate change.

New York, Nairobi and Paris are all participating, with Japan’s iconic Tokyo Tower and buildings in the Philippines among the first to go dark.
