Children from 24 nations, including for the first time Asian countries, will take part in the annual Football for Friendship forum in Berlin from June 4-7.

The event is an opportunity to share ideas for addressing social and lifestyle issues through the opportunities provided by football.

Groups from Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and the UK will participate in what is the project’s third year.

“I’m sure that young athletes, participating in the project, will do their best to make this world better,” said Franz Beckenbauer, the global Ambassador of the Football for Friendship which is organised by Gazprom.
