Scientists have released a recording of the sound that Europe’s Philae space probe made landing on Comet 67P.

Images of the comet’s surface have already been sent back.

Although the probe has shut down awaiting solar energy to recharge, it continues to send new data.

The recorded noise came as the lander bounced inadvertently off the comet’s surface.
