Nokia has launched a new android powered tablet.
The N1 is due to go on sale in China next year before being rolled out in other countries.
Nokia said it was not manufacturing the N1 itself, but had farmed its brand, design and software to another company.
The N1 is around the size of the iPad Mini and powered by Google’s Android 5.0 operating system.
The move will put the company in direct competition with Microsoft, which took over Nokia’s mobile business in April.
Nokia has seen a return to health after posting a €747 million third-quarter net profit.
The Finnish company has set the price of the new device at close to €200.
