About 160 Chinese health workers have arrived in Liberia to help combat Ebola.
They are due to staff a new clinic that unlike most other foreign aid will be built and fully run by Chinese personnel.
Beijing is Africa’s biggest trade partner but had come under fire over its response to the outbreak.
Last week China said it would send 1,000 personnel to fight Ebola, which has killed more than 5,000 people in West Africa.
