Indonesia: Tsunami alert cancelled

A local tsunami warning has been cancelled. It was issued after a 7.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded off the Molucca islands in Indonesia.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii said that hazardous tsunamis were no longer possible within 300 km of the epicenter and that there was no danger of a Pacific-wide tsunami either.

There were no reports of injuries resulting from the earthquake.
