At the World Travel Market 2014 in London, the leading event for the global travel industry, euronews spoke to Janne Gronkjaer Henriksen, Marketing Director VisitDenmark about the recovery from the detrimental effect of the financial crisis on tourism to Denmark. Video in English.
“The crisis has affected us as well, as everywhere in European countries. But now we are seeing that the economy is improving, that is good, and we can also see that there is some tourism coming back to Denmark as well as to other European countries. At the moment we have a 5.5 per cent increase in tourism, so that is good. So you know, we can see an optimism with our partners, they like to invest more and that is also why we are coming back to this travel show in order to meet new tourist operators again.”
