Israeli police have clashed with Palestinian youths following the burial of a Palestinian-American teenager.
Fourteen-year-old Orwah Hammad, was shot in the head on Friday in the village of Silwad, north of Ramallah. The Israeli army said it had fired to prevent an attack with a petrol bomb. An investigation is under way, and the US has demanded a speedy conclusion to the inquiry.
Hundreds clashed with police at Hammad’s funeral, throwing stones at a nearby Israeli military base. Soliders replied with tear gas and stun grenades.
