Serbia punished by Uefa

European football’s governing body Uefa has awarded Serbia a three nil walk over result against Albania after their Euro2016 qualifier in Belgrade had to be abandoned.

Uefa did however then dock Serbia three points for an on-pitch brawl.

The game on 14 October between the Balkan sides was disrupted when a drone flew over the stadium carrying an Albanian nationalist flag.

After the flag was pulled to the ground by a Serbian player crowd disturbance and a brawl between players from both sides quickly followed.

Serbia must also play two home qualifying games behind closed doors while both nation’s football federations have been fined 100,000 euros.
